Description (Service)

Provides prevention, intervention and awareness support to youth who may be at risk of gang violence

One-on-one Supports:

  • challenges youth to think about the decisions they make, consider and plan for their future, and engage in programming opportunities
  • Outreach Workers work with youth to set and accomplish goals
  • provide informal counselling, advocacy services, basic employment and life skills development, and referrals into the community
  • meetings are held in community spaces or virtually

Group-based Intervention:

  • hosts workshop series and information sessions
  • topics include communication skills, emotional regulation, financial literacy and time management, employment skills, social media and online safety, and gun and gang awareness
