The purpose of the Orchestra is to enrich the cultural landscape of Oakville by creating a passion for chamber music concerts, developing local amateur musicians of all ages, and promoting Canadian soloists

Description (Service)

Primarily amateur musicians presenting the chamber music they love to ever increasing audiences

  • core is string players augmented by wind, brass and percussion players, allowing for the presentation of a large musical repertoire by masters of all periods 
  • registered charity
  • subscription series of small concerts
  • youth concerto competition providing opportunity for musicians to play with the orchestra as soloist with scholarship to further musical endeavours
  • youth and seniors outreach providing cultural enrichment

Concerts: Sat 7:30 pm and Sun 3 pm

Eligibility All ages of string players, including wind, brass and percussion players with orchestra experience
