Description (Service)
  • brings trained volunteers and their dogs to hospitals, seniors' residences, schools, and other community spaces
  • program provides emotional and physical benefits to individuals while offering volunteers a uniquely rewarding experience

Areas Served Halton Region
Eligibility
  • 18 years and older to volunteer
  • must obtain police security check
  • dog must pass the St. John Ambulance Evaluation and have current vaccinations
  • program requires a commitment by volunteer and dog to visit the same place and person, at the same time and day of the week, on a regular basis
