Description (Service)

A community orchestra with over 70 amateur and professional members

  • guest artist performances
  • presents a series of four subscription concerts at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts, between October and May
  • Holiday concerts in December featuring the Oakville Children's Choir in two, one-hour concerts 
  • Summer performances in downtown Oakville

Young Artists Program

  • supports the development of young musicians in the community 
  • De Clara Young Artist Award, awarded to musicians under 25 yrs of age, capable of filling string positions in the orchestra, each student receives a bursary
  • Kenneth Hollier Award, annual competition
  • Developing Artists Awards, annually granted to select individuals
