Description (Service)

Financial assistance to help eligible individuals and families who are impacted by the crisis in Gaza and are in Canada with valid temporary resident status

  • non-taxable, one-time payment to help take care of immediate and basic needs while settling in Canada

  • providing the one-time payments in stages, beginning with people who arrive by March 31st, 2025

  • individuals arriving on March 31st, 2025 or before are encouraged to apply as soon as possible after their arrival

  • eligible individuals can expect to receive:

    • $3,000 for each adult (18 years and older)

    • $1,500 for each child (17 years and younger)

Areas Served Canada
Eligibility Individuals meeting requirements from 1 of the following 3 groups can apply:

1. Individuals holding a passport or another travel document issued by the Palestinian Authority who
  • left Gaza on or after September 1st, 2023
  • arrived in Canada by March 31st, 2025
  • are in Canada with a valid temporary resident status
2. Immediate family members of someone under group 1, and who
  • arrived in Canada by March 31st, 2025
  • are in Canada with valid temporary status
3. Individuals who are part of the Government of Canada assisted departures out of Gaza or the West Bank between November 1st, 2023 and December 31st, 2024 and
  • arrived in Canada by March 31st, 2025
  • are in Canada with valid temporary resident status
An immediate family member is defined as
  • spouse or common-law partner
  • dependent child (the applicant's, their spouse's or common-law partner's)
  • dependant child of a dependent child
Application

1. Follow the instructions in the email from IRCC, that will contain:

  • information on the financial assistance
  • instructions on how to apply
  • an email address to contact to start your application If you didn't get an email with instructions and you think you may be eligible, use the crisis web form 2. Get the application form and fill it out
  • form will be received after contacting IRCC following step 1 3. Send the completed application
  • follow instructions received in the email from IRCC
    How to send IRCC your bank information After IRCC receives your completed application, they'll send you a link to a secure web form. Use the secure web form to send the information for the bank account where you want to deposit the funds Do not send bank information through email
