Description (Service)

Prayer Times:

  • five times daily

Groups & Programs:

  • Saturday School for children  
  • Arabic/Islamic Weekend School (elementary-aged children), learn the Arabic language (sponsored by Halton District School Board)
  • Youth Forum (ages 12-18), a program to support, listen to and guide youth, and for learning the Arabic language  
  • Quran classes (ages 6-11)
  • young people's religious studies classes (age up to high school graduation)
  • additional programs are organized by committees

Annual Events: (based on the lunar calendar)

  • Eid el Fitr celebrates the end of a month's fast
  • Eid el Adha celebrates the end of the Pilgrimage to Mecca 

Rental Facilities:

  • hall with portable tables and chairs
  • fees are on a sliding scale

Prayer times:

  • five times daily: sunrise, mid-day, mid-afternoon, sunset, 1 1/2 hours after sunset (times vary)
  • mid-day Fri prayers are held at two times, due to parking: 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm Standard Time (1:30 pm and 2:30 pm during Daylight Savings Time)
