  • books, audio books, DVDs, console video games, Chromebooks, iPads and wireless hotspots available to borrow with a library card
  • loaner laptops and Chromebooks for in-library use
  • downloadable eBooks, audiobooks and magazines
  • online access to free, legal music downloads, movies and television series 
  • online courses in business, technology and creative skills via LinkedIn Learning 
  • Creativity Centre for scanning, editing, and converting photos and videos, and makerspace with hardware and software for creative photo, audio and video projects
  • 3D Printer
  • light therapy lamp available
  • delivery of library material to qualified residents through Home Library Service
  • winter and summer reading clubs
  • children's programs for ages 6 months and up 
  • access to the library catalogue from the library web site
  • free use of Internet workstations 
  • free Wi-Fi
  • study rooms
  • business, employment and newcomer services in partnership with other community groups

Designated as a local cooling centre during times of extreme heat and a warming centre during times of extreme cold

Eligibility
  • a library card is required for borrowing of materials, access to Internet workstations and some databases, study room bookings and registration for some programs
  • library cards are available free of charge to anyone who lives, attends school or works within Halton Hills
Application
  • for a library card, apply in-person at a library service desk with a valid piece of photo ID listing current address, or with a student card for high school students, or submit an application online
  • those under 14 years of age will need to have a parent present in order to obtain a library card
