Provides a range of culturally appropriate services to various client groups to allow them to make positive changes in their lives

Community Services

Children's Programs - 6 years and older

  • tutoring program
  • social programs
  • summer camp

Youth Programs

  • youth counselling
  • business mentorship - for youth 16-24 who aspired to manage their own business
  • advocacy for issues with school
  • support for substance abuse issues

Women

  • individual counselling, support groups
  • for Violence Against Women (VAW) services including court accompaniment, see separate listing

Men

  • individual counselling, anger management
  • monthly speaker forum

Families

  • family counselling
  • support groups, parenting skill support

Offers support services and short-term counselling to help survivors deal with the impact of abuse and to develop improved coping strategies

Eligibility Ages: 6 year(s) and up Focus on the Black, African and Caribbean community in the regions of Peel and Halton, all ages from children age 6 years to seniors Support Services for Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse:

Individuals 16 years and older who identify as male or non-binary, and have experienced historical sexual abuse or who are a victim of recent sexual assault
  • must be an Ontario resident
  • families of the survivor may also be eligible for service
